: Sister Naitoko left a note for Sister Price saying that anyone who slept in her bed had to wear her lavalava haha. So there she is! :)

привет! :)

The majority of this week has actually been quite boring, to be honest haha. SO brace yourselves for a bit of a lame email.

Last Monday was a day of Naitoko feet. A couple of members wanted to take us shopping and buy her new shoes! :) It was so nice of them, I couldn't even believe it! Then do you remember her babooshka shoes that killed her feet and we had to stay inside the next day because it hurt so bad for her to walk? Well, we finally got to take those back haha. Dang babooshka shoes... and then we got Panda Express. The end.

The next night, we started an exchange, so for Wednesday I got to be with Sister Price! :) It was a long day of walking around without really having any success, but it's all good. We did meet with this one less-active family though who is always quite entertaining, so that was good. :) I was pretty happy to be back with Sister Naitoko because she is willing to be a wild woman with me. It was way fun to get to know Sister Price better though! :) She's an awesome missionary!

A couple of days later Sister Naitoko and I decided that this week was dumb and boring, so we decided to make our lives more interesting and buy a bunch of junk food and live the dream. So we did and it was so good, but my body was so mad haha. I hadn't had that much junk in sooo long and I payed for it. Oh well. Ain't nothin but a thang, as they say.

The next day the stake had a pioneer day activity, so we invited everyone we could possibly think of and most of them actually came!! :D It was so awesome! I LOVE seeing less-actives and investigators come to activities like that. :) It was a great night!

Yesterday was my 16 month mark! :) Happy birthday to meeee! Anyway, we met with our investigator, Crystal, before church and taught her the plan of salvation. She LOVED it! It was so cool to see how much she loved reading the scriptures and really just took in everything we said. I love teaching her! :) We also found out during Sunday school that no one was there to teach young women's, so guess who they asked? The MISSIONARIES. So we were super unprepared, but I think it ended up going pretty well. The young women in this ward are sooo good! They seriously blow my mind!

Anyway, sorry for the lame email. I will try to be more adventurous this week haha. :) Well, I love you all and I'll talk to you next week! :)

Hello again! :)
This week has probably been the best week I've had in a while, to be honest! I don't really know why since nothing too crazy happened, but I was just a lot happier. :)
Anyway, on Tuesday we had our district meeting. It was probably one of the most awkward district meetings I've ever had. Our district leader wanted us to do a role-play thing where we were supposed to teach so that a 10 year-old could understand. So he just sat up there and acted like he was 10 years old and it was really awkward. I felt like we were on the Office. In my mind he was Michael Scott and I was Jim, so that made it more interesting for me as I sat there in my angst. Other than that though, it was a good meeting. After our meeting we decided that we would go stop by this less-active lady named Sandy. She had just moved in and we've been meaning to stop by her, but we hadn't gotten around to it until that day. So we walked about an hour to get there and as it turns out, she is the NICEST lady ever! :) She invited us to come back to her house and have dinner with her soon, so I'm really excited for that! :) That night when we were walking home, I just felt so happy. I could breathe in the ocean air and I felt so content just knowing that I was where I was supposed to be doing exactly what I was supposed to be doing. There really is no greater work in the world than missionary work! AND how lucky am I to get to be a part of it here in California?? California is the BEST! :)
The next day was not as magical. Haha. We walked around aaaall day without a whole lot of success. When we went to dinner, the members were actually pretty rude to us. I was so shocked! We were really bummed afterward and decided to see our good friend, Star (the lady with the nut van haha.). So we went over and she was the nicest EVER, as usual! We told her about what had happened and so she took us to go get pizza. Can you believe that?? She is the NICEST lady in the whole world! Thank goodness for Star!
On Friday we went to a member's house for her birthday dinner! :) It was so French and so FANCY! I loved getting to spend time with them! :)

Saturday was the craziest day of the week, hands down. We started off the morning by going to the soup kitchen and straight that there was a BAPTISM!! :) WOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO! Her name is Michelle and she was one of the elder's investigators. It was one of the best baptisms I've ever attended. There were so many people there and the spirit was so strong. :) I was so grateful to have gone! After the baptism, the zone leaders came up to Sister Naitoko to give her a letter from some boy back in Tonga. And you know what was in the letter? A RING!!!! R.I.N.G. RING!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He told her that if she didn't want the ring to just chuck it into the ocean and not to tell him about it. Oh, the drama... so yeah, that was pretty funny for me. :)

Later that night, our investigator, Crystal, called us. She told us about how excited she is to be baptized next year (her parents won't let her, so she has to wait until she's 18) and about how she's started planning out her life. She told us that since she's been praying, she has felt so prompted that she's supposed to serve a MISSION!

WHAAAAAAAAAAT?? So she is going to start preparing to go! Can you believe that?? She is the COOLEST! :)
The only other really eventful thing that happened this week was after church, a babooshka from the ward came up to me and told me about how after bearing my testimony a couple of Sundays ago, her granddaughter couldn't stop talking about my HAIR! Haha! She was going wild all week about how "it just glows!" Hahahaha! Best compliment ever! :)

Anyway, I really am so grateful to be serving the Lord's children here in California. :) Serving a mission is cool, because you just feel the Spirit all the time, you have a million automatic friends, you have adventures every day, etc. I never want this to end!
Well, thank you again for everything that you all do for me! :) I love you so much and I'll talk to you next week!
