The big до свидания!

HOLY COW I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THIS IS MY LAST EMAIL ON MY MISSION EVER AHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Okay. So I am freaking out a little bit over here! I just can't believe that my time is up! I feel like I haven't even been on my mission for that long at all and I kind of hope that during General Conference they'll announce that sisters can serve for two years instead of just a year and a half. But we shall see, eh?
Anyway, I'm so glad that I decided to serve a mission. It is hands down the best decision that I've ever made in my life! I have changed so much through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that He lives and that it is possible for us to find real peace and joy through Him. I've seen miracle after miracle after miracle on my mission - and it really is all through Him. I think that the thing that's meant the most to me on my mission is my relationship that I now have with my Heavenly Father. I know that He does know each of us individually and that He loves us. :)

The hardest part of my mission has just been LEAVING! Holy cow, I just feel like crying all the time haha. But I don't, so don't fret! Ukraine did me some good, sucking all of the tears out of my system except for when I feel the Spirit. Thank goodness for that! Anyway, it's been way harder to leave this behind than it has to leave home behind. I love this work so much and am beyond grateful for the opportunity that I've had to serve my Heavenly Father. :)
Well. I don't really know how to end this email. I don't want to write anymore because I don't want to cry. Crying is for NOOBS!

I love you all and I'll talk to you/see you/whateva next week!

Hello Again! :)

So domestic. Bringing home the bacon, maaaan.

Met Brandon's friend, Elder Jesse, Last week! :)

12 week

AND cool story, so we went out to lunch with some other sisters and the manager paid for our entire meal!! Apparently his mom is a member and he told us that he really respects what we do. So cool!! :)

TEEEEMPLE!!! :D

Temple Visit

TEMPLE

Hello again! :)

So last Monday Sister Branson and I were talking about things that she wanted to do more before I leave. She said that she would really like to go tracting more, so we planned to go tracting the whole entire day. WORST CHOICES!! The next day was the HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR! AH! It was like 110 degrees and was humid and oh my heck I was NOT having it! So I prayed for rain and guess what? IT RAINED!! :) It was awesome!! The tender mercies of the Lord, eh? Anyway, we had basically no success from tracting all day and were pretty tired and discouraged while we were walking home. It was pretty dark when we heard some guy yell out, "Hey! What the heck are you doing out this late?? You need to be careful!" We explained to him that we're missionaries and that's just what we do haha. We talked to him for a long time and he decided that we are his heroes! :) It was awesome! So we're going to try to go back and teach him sometime this week. Oh, and he also thought that I was a nun. Awkward.

The next day we went tracting AGAIN and Sister Branson encountered her first mean person! :) We went to this house where this guy had like a LABYRINTH guarding his door! So we made the trek though that and knocked on his door anyway. The door opened, only for us to see an old man kickin' it in his undies. He said, "I'm sorry... GO AWAY!!!!" And then slammed the door in our faces, which was probably a good thing because I don't want to talk to a half-naked old whippersnapper anyway.

A couple of days later, the Spanish branch was having a taco-dinner-fundraiser thingy. Sister Branson and I decided to help out with that and MAN, I felt so Mexican! Seriously, chopping up those tiny limes and flipping tortillas around like there is no tomorrow is the best feeling in the world. I'm going to move to Mexico! Anyway, when we finally got to actually eat our dinner, one of the young men came and sat by us. I told him that I'm going home soon and he started CRYING!! I didn't know what to do, so I tapped his head with my cup and just said, "there there." Nothing like some drama to end the Mexican night, eh?

What else is new... OH! Cool spiritual stuff that's happening, I finished the Book of Mormon again this week AND we got to go to the TEMPLE today!!! :D Seriously, the church is so true! I feel so blessed to be able to share these truths with these people. I really have never been more happy in my whole life. :)

Anyhoo, thanks for everything you all do! :) I love you and I'll talk to you on Monday!
